effects/toolsif you’re a mix engineer (or at least have to be one occasionally), you may have heard of the yamaha ns-10. if you haven’t, it was a model of speaker released in the late 70s that later became ubiquitous in studios around the globe. this wasn’t because it sounded good; quite the opposite actually, it sounded absolutely terrible. but the rationale was that if you can get your mix to sound good on it, then it’ll sound good everywhere
this is an emulation of the speaker. it also features simulation of three different cheap speakers (laptop, car, monitors) and other settings

- enable: enables the effect
group 2: speaker simulation controls
- speaker simulation enable: enables speaker simulation
- speaker simulation select: selects between the three different speakers to emulate
group 3: speaker overdrive controls
- speaker overdrive enable: enables speaker overdrive (undesirable compression from the lows). i noticed this happening with my car speakers so i included it here
group 4: curve controls
- apply ns-10 curve: enables the ns-10 curve
group 5: wet controls
- wet gain: the gain of the enabled effect. turned down by default to prevent clipping
