dynamic saturator
effects/distortiona saturator, based on the beheader module, with an additional expander for preserving the dynamics of the input
sounds particularly good on drums and vocals; care is needed to adjust the expander settings correctly based on the input dynamics and distortion amount

controllers
group 1: mix controllers
- mix: the dry/wet mix of the effect
group 2: saturation controllers
- gain: the gain of the effect. ranges from 0 to +24 db
- type: the type of saturation. has five values, each corresponding to five different sigmoid functions. this smoothly mixes between the five functions
- bias: the amount of assymmetry of the saturation
group 3: expander controllers
- expander threshold: the threshold of the expander. 128 (2000) = -6db, 256 (4000) = 0db
- expander amount: the amount (ratio) of expansion to apply
- expander attack: the attack of the expander in milliseconds
- expander release: the release of the expander in milliseconds
- expander rms enable: at 32768 (8000), rms-based expansion is enabled
group 4: output controllers
- output gain: the gain of the output. 512 (4000) = +6db
