chroma vocoder
effects/vocodera 24-band vocoder inspired by and specifically designed for color bass. this vocoder shares many features with ragingcoast’s rage vocoder but in a modernized, possibly more efficient way
the output is normally in mono unless self-modulation is enabled; the carrier goes into the left channel and the modulator into the right

controllers
group 1: main controllers
- mix: the dry/wet mix of the effect
- self-modulate: enables modulating the stereo input with itself
- modulator amp bias: the amplitude bias of the modulator input. at low values only high amplitude values affect the carrier, while at the highest value the modulator does not affect the carrier at all
group 2: formant main controllers
- response: the time response of the formants. at higher values, the formants are more responsive to changes in amplitude
- range: the frequency range of the formants. lower values narrow the frequency range, almost creating a lowpass effect
- bandwidth: the bandwidth (resonance) of the formants. at higher values, the formants are wider
- order: the order (roll-off) of the formants
group 3: formant effect controllers
- formant freeze: when enabled at 32768 (8000), the modulator formants are frozen in time; the last recorded value is used until the effect is disabled
- formant size: the frequency scaling of the carrier formants. lower values increase the frequency scaling, giving the effect of a shorter vocal tract. great for vocals
- formant phaser amount: the amount of lfo modulation of the formant frequencies
- formant distortion amount: the amount of distortion on the formants
group 4: formant eq controllers
- 1, 2, 3, etc: the volume of the formant
group 5: output controllers
- output clip: the power of the output clipping
