mixing tool
effects/toolsa tool for analyzing and correcting problems in your mix
the recommended usage of the pink noise feature is this:
- enable the pink noise, and use the level controller to turn down the noise until the noise and the input signal are at the same volume in the spectrum analyzer
- switch back and forth between the noise and the input, noting any frequency inbalance
- correct the inbalances using effects
- repeat steps 2 and 3 until the spectrum of the input closely matches that of the pink noise
- disable the pink noise

controllers
group 1: stereo controls
- mono enable: enables removing all stereo information from the input (i.e, making it mono). useful for checking for unwanted phase cancellation
group 2: destroy controls
- destroy enable: enables destruction (hard distortion) of the input. this is essentially what trackerbound’s “overemphasizer” module does. good for checking the frequency balance
- destroy min freq: the minimum frequency of the destruction in hertz
- destroy max freq: the maximum frequency of the destruction in hertz
group 3: clipping check controls
- clipping check enable: enables the clipping checker. the module will output a dc offset when the signal clips over the threshold, and 0 otherwise
- clipping check threshold: the threshold of the clipping checker
group 4: pink noise controls
- pink noise enable: enables replacing the signal with pink noise
- pink noise level: the level (volume) of the pink noise
